AN ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL RESPONSE TO CURRENT CONCERNS

The Covid-19 era can be perceived as a critical juncture in our economic world. That is to say, an event that disturbed previously settled and commonly admitted logical reasoning and principles. All over the world, citizens are mobilizing to urge political leaders to put in place strong measures. At the same time, multiple initiatives are emerging from localities, led by collectives in search of solutions at the local level in order to meet the challenges of the transition. Our research will be one of the first ones to assess local transformations that could later be used by firms and governments to promote sustainable and yet affordable economic development solutions. We seek to provide an economic response that is socially, environmentally and economically sustainable.
